Aperture's Noise Brick

Post by DavidKellyPhoto »

I am currently looking for a noise solution to help me with my concert photography (http://www.flickr.com/people/DavidKellyPhoto).

Any chance you might be able to replace Aperture's Noise Brick with Neat? This way, I could go back to distructionless editing and change something if I wanted.

You cannot truly replace one with another but you can use Neat Image plug-in for Aperture in a way allowed by for filter plug-ins by Apple. That is not distructionless in the sense of Aperture bricks, a filter plug-in instead creates a new filtered copy of the image every time you apply the plug-in. This is what Apple offers for filter plug-ins and such a solution is directly available in the form of Neat Image plug-in for Aperture. You can still go back and change anything wanted in the original because it is fully preserved.

Hope this helps,
Vlad
