Is there a way to pre-select the area to be de-noised and leave other areas alone (to preserve all detail in those areas)?
If so can someone guide me through the procedure?
I tried selecting the area I wanted de-noised in PSP before opening the NI plugin but the whole image seems to be processed regardless of my selected area.
It should work this way: first select an area in Photoshop (or PSP), then open NI plug-in, prepare a noise profile, adjust filter settings and click Apply to filter the image. This will apply filtration to the selected area only.
It appears to work either way:
1 selecting an area first, then applying the plugin
or
2 create a new layer, apply the plugin to the new layer, then using the eraser
brush on the top layer,
