New firmware for my Sony A700

Hi!

I have during the time I have used NI made lots of noise profiles that makes NI a please to use.

Now Sony has released a new version (V4) of the camera firmware that have radically changed (improved) the noise characteristics. My question is then, does NI use the camera FW version to separate the profiles, and if not, how should I carry on the build new profiles for V4 pictures but keep my profiles for all my 1000s of pictures taken with V3 firmware?

Neat Image does take into account the firmware version when doing profile matching so in principle it should be able to load v4 profiles for v4 images and to keep loading v3 profiles for v3 images.

However, this depends on whether the firmware version is available in the EXIF data. In any case, you will be able to directly test that by doing some simple profile matching.

Thank you, I will try it out! I think the FW version number is in the EXIF data as I recall having seen V3 there for my old files.
