Which target for film scanner??

Hi,
I would like to build a profile for my film scanner and color slides. Should I use the b/w target provided on NeatImage web site, or the color one? Also, is it better to shoot on screen (i have an LCD) or shoot a printed target?

If your printer is color one, use the color target. If you shoot off screen then use the color one too. Just make sure you shoot it out of focus and the target fills the whole frame. Regarding shooting off screen vs. off paper, choose what is easier for you.

Are the colors of the color target chosen for some specific purpose? Just curious.

Yes, they are chosen to enable more accurate analysis of certain digital camera images. With scanners, the colors are less important.
