Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9

Post by andewid »

The Neat Image Photoshop plugin works with Paint Shop Pro 9 as far as I can tell. Would it not be good if the NI installer recognized this?

Also, it would be good if it somehow would be possible for the NI plugin to use EXIF information when loaded from PSP9.

Thank for your for checking.

We will add PSP9 support to the installer.

Regarding the EXIF information, previous versions of PSP did not provide EXIF data to the plug-ins. Hopefully this is changed now in PSP9.

Thank you,

Yes I hope so too. Does not PSP has its own plugin API in addition of supporting Photoshop plugins? If so, then perhaps Ni could code for that. Not sure the user base is large enough for NI to consider this though.

BTW, I don't see the PSP9 on the JASC webpage. The latest seems to be 8.x. Do you use a beta?

While JASC may have a beta of PSP9, be aware that there is a worm out there that masquerades as PSP9. It is called W32.HLLW.Lacon@mm. More details at the Symantec security site here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/av ... on@mm.html

Batch scripting in PSP

Post by billotto »

Is there a way to write a script for NeatImage that processes the files without requiring intervention to tell NeatImage to apply the settings to the file?

Currently that is not possible because PSP's scripting system and PS's action system supported by NI plug-in are not compatible.
