Multiprocessor support on Hyperthreading single CPU

Is there any possible advantage at all enabling the multiprocessor option on a Hyperthreading single CPU system? Have this been tested, and how much gain can be expected, a couple of percents or?

It will detect "two" CPUs and run the batch processing in pairs of two. But is it an advantage?

Filtraion Queue will process jobs faster if multiprocessor option is checked. On a Hyperthreading CPU the speed gain is normally 10-30% due to properties of Hyperthreading technology.
