File size reduction

This is probably a dumb question but humor me anyway. My JPG image was originally 2.5MB and after NeatImage it's 800K. Does it use more compression or is the JPG compression just more efficient with a cleaner image?

The JPEG compression is of course more efficient with a noise-free image. I cannot say whether the compression quality level itself is more or less than that of the original image you use, but in Demo it is pretty high (91 out of 100; 100 is the highest quality) and in non-Demo edition you can manually adjust it.

where in the non-demo version is the compression level set ??

Save the output image to a JPEG file and you will see the window to adjust the compression level.
