What info from EXIF does NI use to selct profile?

From what I understand NI will select a profile by examining EXIF information. Is this correct?

If so which parameters does NI examine in the profile. The reason I'm asking is because the camera I use, Minolta Z1, does extra processing if the exposure is longer than 1 second, this will obviously need a different profile.

Neat Image extracts camera model, ISO rate, compression level, exposure time. So, if you build profiles for exposure more and less than 1 sec then Neat Image should be able to select proper profile.
